The Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) Gombe state office has signed a 77-kilometer rural road upgrade contract with three construction companies.
Speaking on behalf of the state government, Gombe State Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport, Engr. Usman Mijinyawa Kallamu, represented by the Director of Administration, Abubakar Ibrahim Lamuwa, charged the contractors to maintain contract specifications. Engr. Usman Mijinyawa emphasized that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is committed to ensuring quality work that will benefit both present and future generations.
In his remarks, the Project Coordinator of RAAMP Gombe State, Engr. Salisu Abdullahi, thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his support and efforts in ensuring the successful implementation of all RAAMP projects. Engr. Salisu Abdullahi urged the contractors to maintain standards and adhere strictly to the laid-down specifications and completion period. He added that the five roads would cost #10.5 billion and have an 18-month completion period.
Speaking on behalf of the contractors, Malam Sufian Faruk from Grascope Construction Limited thanked the Gombe State Government for selecting them and promised to deliver a quality project.
